There are several areas in which you can find dragons in the vast sphere of the occult. We find dragon representations in lore and customs as well as collectibles and artwork. Whether you are Christian or Pagan or Jewish or some other faith, you can’t deny the place dragons have occupied all through history, whether they be friend or foe.

One of the oldest belief systems in the world is that of Paganism and throughout that religion we see the dragons. One of the key features of any Pagan tradition is the belief in mother nature and that it is a manifestation of the gods and goddess of that faith’s followers. Of all of the Pagan traditions recognized in modern times, Wicca is the most familiar Pagan practice. But again, Wicca is just one of many.

While reading an article about Wiccan traditions, I came across something that was unfamiliar to me: Draconian Wicca. I wonder if it is also a new concept for those of you who are reading. Draconian Wicca shares several of the same beliefs as the other traditions, however instead of having a focus on gods and goddesses, it focuses on those fire-breathers as representations of good and evil and male and female. The difference between Dragons to those who follow The Dragon Path and other Pagans is that not only do Draconian Wiccans believe the creatures represent wisdom and balance, but also that it is All-That-Is and holds deity eminence when included in ceremonial magick. While dragons in all Pagan traditions are revered, they do not usually reach deity status.

Draconian Wicca, while sharing vitrues with conventional Wicca, is not actually established as Wicca, at least at the time of this writing. The festivals and holidays in Draconian Wicca vary from the other paths, as does its code of ethics. Another similarity between traditional Wicca and The Path of the Dragon is the use of tokens signifying the elements (earth, air, water, fire)–the difference being that the Draconian Wiccans employ dragons as symbols. It also includes clergy and like most religions, it is thought that the best way of teaching the tradition is from experienced mentor to student.

Draconian Wicca has its own spiritual guides as well. It is believed that practicioners can befriend and communicate with dragons. Of course, this is magical and spiritual communication. COLLEGEVILLE AND PHILADELPHIA, PA – Technological advancements are changing the way many dental procedures are performed, and one area where that is particularly evident is in dental implants.

Advances in nano technology, have facilitated bone cells to adhere to titanium surfaces faster, thus enabling Dr. David DiGiallorenzo to place healthy, beautiful teeth into the mouth in one visit.

When you sit down with the intention of crafting a diorama, the sky is the limit and if you can dream it up, you can create it. To begin, look no farther than fantasy sculptures for characters to fill your space and give you hours of fulfilling imaginative endeavors.

No matter what you have in mind for your diorama, there are fantasy figurines depicting practically any scene you can imagine. The quality and detail of the statues help take the quality and enjoyment of the diorama to a greater level. With such a wide diversity of figurines to choose from, the best place to start is with the concept for your diorama. And there is no shortage of concepts to choose from. Could it be elves fighting a mystical beast; or a perchance an ethereal landscape where elves perfect their speechcraft while wandering through the woods, living peacefully with otherkin?

I have seen all sorts of dioramas, remember anything is possible, so take a minute to consider what you want to do.

The setting of your fairytale landscape will also be dependent upon the section of the box you will be using. Will everything fit neatly in the bounds of a shoe box, two shoe boxes, or even a custom made 12 x 12 cube? Think about the orientation of the scene as well–horizontal or parallel. If you’ll be depicting flying dragons for example, a vertical format would work best to give you the height a dragon needs to fly. Whereas, if you want to depict a ground battle with a sorcerer wielding his staff against a draconian terror, a horizontal setting may work better.

Remember that no matter how cool the collectibles are, you still need to create a scenery to set the scene and construction paper is ideal for this. Use the paper and other materials to produce surrounding features like trees, castles, and bushes to really tell the story. Color contrast is an often overlooked and very important facet of your diorama: remember using the same color too often can hinder the appropriate contrast needed to make your main factor pop off the set, and is just boring with a capital B!

The initial step you need to do is make the background sky and ground before you even begin to set your statues. Simply put together your different parts as thought out in your storyboard, insert a couple of dragon figurines, and add any final touches!

That is how easy it can be to construct a memorable and stunning fantasy diorama that will please and inspire you for years to come. If you ever want to switch out your pieces into a new backdrop, be sure to use non permanent adhesive so they can easily be transferred.

Of all of the different things that people tend to do whenever they are at the gym, force-feeding themselves protein seems to be the one that is talked about the most. The unfortunate thing is, many people tend to fall a little bit short of what the body actually needs as far as protein is concerned. I’m not saying that they won’t see results whenever they did it in the more traditional way, what I am saying is that some nontraditional methods of getting protein in the body may be more effective and will give you more results.

The most common way that people get protein is to simply eat animal meat. Force-feeding themselves chicken breasts, tuna and steak on a daily basis can really make the protein count add up, but it is not necessarily what the body needs. Nobody grows when you eat this way. The reason why this is the case, is because the human body is unable to assimilate protein directly. Of all the different muscle groups of the body, the biceps tendon bring more attention than any other. The reason why this is probably the case, is because it is one muscle that is on the human body which is almost always exposed. Although many people still consider the abdominal region to be the definition of what is sexy in the human body, a nice set of arms, including the bicep muscles will always be a classic. The unfortunate thing is, many people spend far too much time working out this muscle group and not enough time growing it.

Regardless of what muscle you’re working in the body, there are going to be exercises that are going to isolate it in some way or another. Regardless of whether you are doing preacher curls, standing curls or concentration curls, you are working the biceps and you are doing so by flexing the muscle while at the same time, putting it under the load of external weight. One principle that you need to keep in mind, regardless of whether you are working your biceps or any other muscle in the body is that multi-joint exercises are going to benefit you more than isolating the muscle group. The reason why this is the case, is because our muscles do not work independently of each other and we should not work them out independently of each other for the very same reasons. Knowing exercises such as the bench press or lat pulldown not only work the chest and back muscles, they also hit the bicep muscles as well. You would probably be surprised with how much you are able to grow your biceps, even if you don’t do a single exercise while you are at the gym.

The same is also true whenever you’re working out the legs. Although it may seem a little bit confusing, how you’re working the bicep muscles while you’re working the legs, it actually happens inside of the body on the chemical level. Working hard on large muscle groups doing exercises such as the dead lift and squat is going to release a chemical into the body that lets it know that it is time to put on muscle. This chemical does not confine itself to the area of the legs that are being worked, it goes throughout the entire body. That is why the dead lift and squat should be the basis of all exercises that you do, simply because it can help you grow your biceps, chest, abs and any other muscles in the body.

That is a basic truth about bicep workouts, and it is one that many people tend to overlook whenever they are at the gym. Whenever you work your entire body using your biceps as a secondary muscle, however, you will experience the most growth and be balanced.

According to the BBC report, many Japanese believe that people with type A are “dependable, self sacrificing, but also reserved and prone to worry.”

People with type O are decisive and confident.

People with type B are flamboyant free-thinkers, but selfish.

People with type AB? “Balanced, clear sighted and logical, but also high-maintenance and distant,” says this report.

Interest in blood type and dating is so prevalent that women’s magazines run articles about it, according to the BBC.

Some employers actually have asked about a prospective employee’s blood type before deciding whether to hire him, which is much like some of the personality tests some companies give.

Even more interesting, there is actually a term for mistreatment because of your blood type, says this BBC report. “Bura-Hara” translates to blood group harassment.

Mari Yamaguchi, reporting for The Associated Press wrote this about blood typing:

“Matchmaking agencies provide blood-type compatibility tests, and some companies make decisions about assignments based on employees’ blood types.

Children at some kindergartens are divided up by blood type, and the women’s softball team that won gold at the Beijing Olympics used the theory to customize each player’s training.”

Another writer, Justin McCurry, wrote in The Guardian that there is a “darker side” to blood typology: “It has been blamed for bullying among kindergarten children, denying jobs to otherwise ideal candidates and ending happy relationships, all because of an imagined (blood type) mismatch.”

Scientists don’t give the theory that your personality and traits can be determined by your blood type. They classify it somewhere along the line as the same as horoscopes.

But there are enough people who believe in it.

According to the BBC report, Japan’s last prime minister put his blood type (A) in his official profile on the internet.

And it looks like it will continue to be used as a matchmaking tool, so women can narrow down prospective mates.

During the speed dating session in the BBC report, the women were looking for men with blood type A or AB.

One woman told the BBC reporters that after dating a type B man, she was annoyed by how unorganized he was.

Her friend told the BBC that she is seeking a man with type A blood because she hopes that will mean the man is down to earth.

Without further ado, here is the skinny on postage rates and regulations on postcards:

4″ x 6″ or 4.25″ x 6″ postcards

These mail at a first class individual stamped rate of 27 cents each. The post office has a specific stamp for these postcards. However, if you were to do a minimum amount of 500 and add a barcode (which qualifies your mailed piece as an automated first class item) you save another 5 pennies per card on the postage as the rate then is approximately 22 cents. In order for a direct mail imprint to be applied to your mail piece the post office has a requirement of a 2″ x 4″ section being completely white at the bottom right on the back of your postcard. That way they can feed it through their automated scanners to sort which saves them manpower costs and they pass that on to you.

5.5″ x 8.5″, 5″ x 7″, 6″ x 9″ or 6″ x 11″ postcards

These sizes all mail at a first class letter rate of 44 cents a piece if you are doing them one at a time with stamps. Here again you can automate them (still mailing at first class which delivers in 3 to 5 business days) by leaving a 2″ x 4″ section on the bottom right of the mailer panel completely clear of all type and graphics for address imprinting with a barcode and your rate comes down to around 37 cents a piece.

On larger items like this you can also do a standard rate mailing (used to be known as bulk mail). Delivery times on this mailing rate are officially stated by the USPS at 5 to 15 business days. Again it has to be a minimum of 200 pieces to qualify and there is a certain amount of sorting, labeling trays (or USPS supplied sacks) with the various ADC codes which allows them to sort to zones and then to mail carrier routes. The USPS has downloadable documentation that needs to be completed and you are required to deliver the pieces to a BMEU (Business Mail Entry Unit)

Most large printing companies (like us!) have in-house mailing facilities and are equipped with all the necessary postage indicias and permits for the different types of mailing classes, which is part of what is covered by a mail preparation fee.

The mail prep fee also includes retrieving, processing and setting up the data base for list, CASS certification of the list (a USPS requirement), zip+4 coding, ink-jetting addresses, barcoding (where applicable) sort-bundle-sack or tray, preparation of all postal paper work, and delivery to post office.

Getting tattoos has become so commonplace these days that having one no longer raises eyebrows. There are lots of tattoo parlors available and you can easily find one in your locality. If you are planning on getting one, there are a few things you have to keep in mind because there are certain grievous health risks associated with getting tattoos. If you plan to get inked when you are travelling abroad, you have to be particularly careful because not many countries have health rules in place concerning this and even if they do, they might not be uniformly implemented.

You have to make sure that your tattoo artist is very conscious of safety because tattoo parlors are notorious for spreading diseases like HIV and Hepatitis B. While this danger is ever present closer to home, it is absolutely rampant in tourist hot spots.

The first indicator of how safety conscious your tattoo artist is is whether he does his work with bare hands or uses a well fitting latex glove. A loose fitting glove can easily be pierced by the needle and spread diseases. You would not want to be attended to by a diseased person, would you? If you still feel that that you need more confidence, you could ask the artist whether he or she has been vaccinated for Hepatitis B.

You can look around the parlor or at other people being tattooed to see whether this place uses safe practices. For example, they should take out a small amount of ink, ointment or anything they need to do the job, for each person and throw away the rest after the job is finished. If it goes back into the universal container after use, there is a 100% chance of disease spreading.

If there is one thing you should absolutely insist upon, it is that needles should always be taken out of an autoclave bag. It is a completely sterile environment and you can be sure that the needles are safe to use. The needles should always be taken out only when you are already seated in the chair and ready to be tattooed. You must also insist that the needles used on you be absolutely new. This is not mandated in most states as long as the needles are autoclaved, but you will feel a lot less pain if the needle is not blunt with use.

Look whether the tattoo parlor has proper waste disposal facilities. All human waste, blood in this case, should be disposed off correctly so that there is no danger of it contaminating anybody else. While this will not necessarily impact you, you certainly need to give your business to a place that is very safety conscious. Needles have to be disposed off in a sharps container and not in any other way to ensure that they are not inadvertently used again.

If you keep these safety pointers in mind, you will be able to get inked without worrying about the health consequences.
